What is Hyperhidrosis?

It is a medical condition in which a person sweats excessively and unpredictably, this can occur at any time even if the temperature is cool or when they are at rest. Very common places can be on the hands, feet or under arms but it can happen anywhere on the body.

Laser Hyperhidrosis Treatment is a safe, effective, and minimally invasive solution for hyperhidrosis.

Laser treatments are among the least invasive of all surgical techniques, so scarring and patient immobilization are not a concern.

Target Sweat Glands, Without Collateral Damage

For treating hyperhidrosis, 1064 nm Nd-YAG laser light is used to permanently destroy axillary sweat glands by photoselectively heating sweat gland tissue without damaging the surrounding tissue. The procedure is performed under local anesthetic and is finished in less than an hour.

At Viona Beauty Clinic we have one of the only non-surgical treatments available to alleviate underarm and palm of hand sweating. The science behind how it works is quite simple and the technology is precise. The XLase  uses thermal energy that targets and eliminates the sweat and odour glands in your underarm. Once those glands are eliminated, they do not grow back. So No sweat, No smells, NO stains!

FAQ

Helpful Information

What is Hyperhidrosis?

Hyperhidrosis treatment with laser is a non-invasive procedure that uses laser technology to target and reduce excessive sweating, a condition known as hyperhidrosis. It works by delivering precise pulses of laser energy to the sweat glands, disabling them and reducing sweat production.

How does laser treatment for hyperhidrosis work?

During a laser treatment session for hyperhidrosis, the laser emits specific wavelengths of light that are absorbed by the sweat glands beneath the skin's surface. The heat generated by the laser destroys the sweat glands, leading to a significant reduction in sweat production in the treated area.

Is laser treatment for hyperhidrosis safe?

Yes, laser treatment for hyperhidrosis is considered safe when performed by a qualified and experienced healthcare provider. The treatment is FDA-approved and has been shown to be effective in reducing excessive sweating. However, as with any medical procedure, there may be some risks and potential side effects, which will be discussed during your consultation.

What areas of the body can be treated with laser for hyperhidrosis?

Laser treatment for hyperhidrosis can be used to target excessive sweating in various areas of the body, including the underarms & palms of the hands.

How many sessions of laser treatment are needed for hyperhidrosis?

The number of laser treatment sessions needed for hyperhidrosis varies depending on individual factors such as the severity of sweating, the area being treated, and treatment goals. While some clients may notice improvements after just one session, a series of treatments spaced several weeks apart is often recommended for optimal results.

What results can I expect from laser treatment for hyperhidrosis?

Laser treatment for hyperhidrosis can lead to a significant reduction in excessive sweating, resulting in improved comfort and confidence for individuals affected by this condition. Many clients experience long-lasting results, with some even achieving permanent sweat reduction. However, individual results may vary, and maintenance treatments may be needed to sustain the benefits over time.
