FAQ
Helpful Information
IS HOT WAX LESS PAINFUL?
Hot wax is good for strong hair in sensitive areas, such as the bikini. The warmth of the wax also opens the pores, so in theory should make the treatment less painful. Some people find that hot wax is better than strip wax for Hollywood/Brazilian/bikini line. It is less painful and more effective.
WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN STRIP WAX AND HOT WAX?
Hot wax is spread thickly onto the skin and allowed to dry slightly before it's gently peeled away.
Strip wax is recommended for thicker/less sensitive skin, for example legs, arms, back , chest and shoulders. A thin layer of wax is applied to the skin and is then removed using a paper strip.
HOW LONG DOES HAIR HAVE TO BE TO HOT WAX?
The hair should be at least 1/4-inch to 1/2-inch for best results. If you have coarse hair it should be closer to 1/2-inch for the first few waxes. Once the hair becomes finer it can be waxed at a shorter length
WHAT IS STRIP WAX AND HOW DO WE APPLY IT?
Classic Strip Wax is the traditional treatment of removing any unwanted hair on the body.
Wax is applied with a spatula onto the skin. A paper strip is then pressed on top of the wax and immediately taken away. This removes the hair within the chosen area. It is done quickly and precisely in order for there to be minimal discomfort.
Afterwards, a soothing and cooling lotion is used to minimise local redness on the skin. This is a fast and highly effective treatment and as a result.
IS STRIP WAX OR HOT WAX BETTER?
Hot wax is spread thickly onto the skin and allowed to dry slightly before it's gently peeled away. The benefits include fewer in-grown hairs, less breakage and therefore longer re-growth periods.
Strip wax is recommended for thicker/less sensitive skin, for example legs, arms, back , chest and shoulders.
IS WAXING GOOD FOR SKIN?
Wax has a lasting effect and should therefore only be applied once or twice a month at a maximum. This allows the skin to rest and the hair to grow without the cutting interruptions of razors, which make the skin more prone to irritation. It Makes your skin silky and healthy.
HOW LONG SHOULD I WAIT BETWEEN WAXES?
If you've shaven recently, wait five days. And though the time does vary between waxes, depending on how quickly or coarsely the hair grows back. You should wait three to five weeks between waxing.
