DERMAL FILLERS
DERMAL FILLER
Due to the natural ageing process, the skin loses the main structural protein found in our connective tissues, collagen. Clients are often concerned about deep laughter, smoke lines and frown lines that tend to make them look older than their ages.
Dermal Fillers can be used to plump up the skin, thereby smoothing facial wrinkles and lines by adding volume, especially for skin around the mouth and the eyes and also vertical lines above the upper lip. It can also be used for lip enhancement.
We only use Dermal Fillers from leading market brands like Revolax. These sterile gels consisting of non-animal, cross-linked, hyaluronic acid (HA) that have the highest safety profiles of all fillers currently on the market. The effects can last up to a year.

FAQ
Dermal Filler
WHAT ARE DERMAL FILLERS?
We use only the most advanced and effective solutions to arrest pre-mature aging while combating wrinkles. Dermal Fillers are administered by injections directly to the area of concern, allowing the skin to immediately plump, producing a natural, dewy glow. Most modern non-permanent fillers are formulations of stabilised hyaluronic acid, a naturally occurring substance found in the body. This product assists in hydration and replaces lost volume to the skin. Ageing reduces the body's natural ability to rapidly renew hyaluronic acid as when younger. The result is that one's naturally occurring moisture and its plumping effects decrease and wrinkles and fine lines become more visible.
WHERE CAN DERMAL FILLERS BE USED?
Virtually anywhere that your skin wants refreshing, Dermal Fillers can be employed. Areas where hyaluronic acid is particularly effective, and there is an immediately visible skin revitalisation, are on the facial lines (laugh lines, frown lines), backs of hands, on acne scars, the neck, and décolletage. Additionally, pronounced contouring deficiencies can be instantly improved.
AM I A SUITABLE CANDIDATE?
These products can benefit a broad range of clients. Although its leading purpose is to encourage and improve skin rejuvenation and the reduction of wrinkles, laughter or smile lines and other fine lines. It is suitable for those who might wish to add structure and replace lost facial volume.
There are no known risks during pregnancy, nor when breastfeeding, however, our clinicians would advise that a patient postpones treatment until her circumstances have changed.
DOES IT HURT?
An initial but brief sting might be felt with each tiny injection. Your advanced and experienced aesthetic practitioner will employ extremely fine needles for injection. The area may be numbed by using a topical anaesthetic cream before beginning your treatment. This cream minimises the sensation, rendering it significantly less painful.

Anaesthetic cream can be applied about 20-30 minutes before your injections if needed.
HOW LONG DOES THE PROCEDURE TAKE?
Although treatment times may vary, our procedures typically take between 45-60 mins. It is common to have some swelling, redness and bruising after the treatment. These usually resolve within a few days.
WHAT RESULT CAN I EXPECT TO SEE?
The postoperative results of dermal filler are immediate and significant; your skin will appear younger, dewier and tighter. Complications from Fillers, although rare, can still occur. Our practitioner will have an in depth discussion with you about all the possible risks involved before any treatment is carried out. As there is no significant recovery period and no downtime at all, the patient can return to their lifestyle immediately. Right after treatment, there is the possibility of bruising, slight redness, minor swelling and an itching sensation in the treated site. You are advised not to expose the treated area to intensely high temperatures as found in solariums and during sunbathing nor to the extreme cold. There is also a risk that needle punctures of any type might contribute to another eruption if you have historically suffered from facial cold sores. Thereafter, starting a course of Zovirax or Aciclovir cream just before the day of your procedure can reduce the chances of this reoccurring. Subsequent to initial treatment, most patients choose to return for a follow-up treatment approximately every 6-12 months, although you can receive this procedure as frequently as you like, depending on the degree of improvement desired. A top-up treatment within 2-4 weeks of the initial procedure may be required to achieve optimal results. If so, a smaller amount of the Hyaluronic Acid will be needed and will be charged accordingly.
HOW QUICKLY DO I GET RESULTS?
Results are immediately evident and will continue to develop over the next few days. Full tissue integration of the fillers normally takes 2 weeks, after which time the best results of the treatment can be observed.
HOW LONG DOES DERMAL FILLERS LAST?
This is typically between 6-12 months.
